The Institute of Statistical Mathematics (ISM) concluded agreements for academic and research collaboration separately with the Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB) and with the Institute of Mathematics for Industry (IMI), Kyushu University, within the 2016 academic year. The ZIB and the IMI also have a similar agreement. Based on these agreements, the ISM, the ZIB and the IMI will hold the first joint workshop in January 2017. The aim of this workshop is to promote joint research activitiess in the field of applied or statistical mathematics and data-intensive high-performance computing.
